The aim of the Melbourne Scholarship Program is to provide access to a world class university for students nationally and internationally. The Melbourne Undergraduate Scholarships Program is one of the most generous and comprehensive programs in Australia. The program recognises the outstanding achievement of students from across Victoria, interstate and overseas.

The University of Melbourne also acknowledges a special responsibility to provide higher education access to those students who might otherwise be excluded by socioeconomic, cultural, geographic and/or other circumstances. Up to 200 Melbourne Access Scholarships are also on offer to Indigenous Australians and students from a broad range of equity groups who have experienced ongoing circumstances which impact on their preparation for university study.
In addition, there will be an annual Bachelor of Environments Prizes and Awards night that will recognise and reward high achieving students.
